Each "Tip for Turners" video within the Ellsworth Library of Tutorial Videos covers a different subject. In this library, Ellsworth explores the process of developing open bowls on the lathe using his acclaimed "Signature" gouge.

In addition to the "hows" of making an open bowl, Ellsworth discusses the subjects of sharpening gouges; faceplate designs, function and usage; making jam chucks for turning off the base of bowls; and his home-grown methods used in sanding.

Ellsworth has taught his lathe and turning skills throughout the world. His dedication to education within the woodturning field has led to the formation of the American Association of Woodturners in 1986, of which he was the first president and Life Member, and the establishment of the Ellsworth School of Woodturning which he founded in 1990.
