Jack D. Hidary, Co-Founder
Jack D. Hidary has built his career as an entrepreneur in the finance and technology sectors. He currently serves as Chairman of Vista Research, an independent firm providing proprietary research to leading mutual and hedge funds.
Prior to founding Vista Research, Hidary co-founded and served as President and CEO of EarthWeb from 1994 through January of 2001, when he was named Chairman. At EarthWeb, Hidary led the operations, sales, marketing and technical divisions of the company. During this time he raised three private rounds of equity and completed a record breaking initial public offering. Under Hidary's leadership, EarthWeb earned the prestigious Business Week Info Tech 100 award as the third fastest growing IT Company.
Committed to community and philanthropic causes, Hidary has received several industry and community awards including the Einstein Technology Medal as well as being recognized as a Global Leader of Tomorrow at the World Economic Forum, Davos.
Hidary is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a Young Leadership Fellow of the National Committee on China-US Relations and a member of YPO.
He currently sits on the Board of Directors at TrickleUp, a microenterprise non-profit that helps low-income people start small businesses, and is a Trustee of the Citizens Budget Commission. He is also a member of the steering committee of the Association for a Better NY and is a partner of the Partnership for NYC.
Hidary studied philosophy and neuroscience at Columbia University and was then awarded a Stanley Fellowship in Clinical Neuroscience at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Under the fellowship, Hidary conducted research in functional neuroimaging using techniques such as positron emission tomography (PET) and functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) to study brain and disease states.
Hidary is an active private investor and a limited partner of Redpoint Ventures and the Prism Fund. A frequent keynote speaker, Hidary has presented at venues including the business schools at Yale, Harvard and Columbia.
Murray Hidary, Co-Founder
With over a decade of experience in the Information Technology sector, Murray Hidary comes to iAmplify with the experience of and having previously taken a company from inception to public offering. Prior to iAmplify, Murray served as Co-Founder and Managing Director of Vista Research, an independent financial research provider serving the country's largest hedge funds and mutual funds. Vista Research was acquired by McGraw-Hill/Standard & Poor's in April 2005. Murray also served as Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Dice, Inc. (formerly EarthWeb), where his responsibilities included managing the company's global Mergers &
Acquisition efforts as well as its Strategic Investments Program. Under his management, the company completed multiple capital raisings totaling over $150 million including a successful initial public offering in 1998. Murray also completed over twenty acquisitions and strategic investments in IT related companies and divested the company's content business. Murray's background includes a diverse mix of the arts and business. A graduate of New York University in Music and Composition, Murray Hidary is an accomplished composer and photographer. Murray is involved with several philanthropic causes. He is the Board President of the new music string quartet "Ethel" and resides on the board of Four Way Books, a publisher of poetry and short fiction by emerging and established writers. He is a member of the New York University Dean's Advisory Council as well as the New York University Council on the Future of Arts and Science. Murray is also the proud owner of a hybrid gas-electric car.
