Yoga for Balance is a 75 minute class suitable for those with previous yoga experience. The class features asanas, pranayamas and mudras that will help to balance your entire being.

Almost everyone suffers with the problems of asymmetry and physical imbalance. These irregularities and imbalances cause stresses and strains within in our bodies that can often lead to illness, physical injury and emotional upset.

The Yoga for Balance class is a well structured and mindful yoga practice including asanas (postures), pranayamas (breathing techniques) and mudras (gestures). These elements promote physical symmetry, remove imbalances, encourage emotional stability and will balance and clear the mind.

With the irregularities and imbalances eliminated prana (vital life force) will be able to flow more freely around the body improving the efficiency of your internal organs and bringing increased levels of mental and physical health and vitality.

The class begins in Sukhasana (sitting with the ankles crossed) focussing on your alignment and performing a mudra that will prepare and focus the mind. The class continues with Surya Namaska (a sun salutation) in preparation for a series of balancing asanas and pranayamas that will encourage physical and emotional balance, increased flexibility and well-being.

Throughout the class you will be encouraged to internalise your focus and bring awareness to any blockages or areas of tension stored within the body. Practicing yoga in such a way will help to remove any imbalances and prevent future related injuries or illnesses.

The class uses clear, easy to follow instruction combined with a subtle background music track that sets the perfect atmosphere. In addition to the class you will recieve the Yoga for Balance Giude Booklet that highlights the instructions and provides reference photos for each posture and technique.


Yoga for BalanCe was released in July 2010 and is one of over 40 Yoga2hear classes. It is devised and instructed by Yoga2hear founder Sue Fuller, Sue is the resident yoga expert for Natural Health Magazine and is a leading yoga teacher, writer and training course author who has studied and taught yoga around the world for almost 20 years.
