 Cycling is a great form of exercise but it can also lead to imbalances in the body because the hip flexors (the muscles that fold the hips) become overly tight and the legs are over-developed compared to the upper body.   The hip flexors attach to the lower spine so when they become overly strong/tight, the lower back muscles become very tight, weak and cranky.  


 My Personalizing Pilates/cyclists audio MP3 workout helps to stretch your tight hips, strengthen your lower back and abdominals as well as strengthen your upper body.   It’s a full-body workout that will give you noticeable results quickly.  Included with the workout is a free Ab Tutorial MP3 audio file that teaches you how to use your breathing to activate and strengthen the deepest layer of your abdominals. A side benefit is that these are the muscles that will also flatten your tummy (it’s true!)

  The MP3 /cyclists workout is effective. First I’ll stretch out your tight hips and lower back and then my voice will guide you through a full-body workout that will strengthen and balance the muscles that support your pelvis and lower back. You’ll do some great exercises to strengthen your upper body and will help support you when you’re riding. Finally, for those of you who are visual learners, a photo-illustrated document is included that shows the exercises in the order in which they are taught.
