Dr. Jerry and Deborah Meints have demonstrated their expertise in TV family therapy programming for the past eight years with their TV show on Time Warner Cable in Palm Desert, CA.

The format for "It's A Family Affair" consists of a dialogue between this husband/wife team of mental health/family counseling experts. Each week they discuss a particular social or family problem and review current research or patterns on a mental health issue. In addition they teach effective self-empowering tools, and then list the steps that people can take to solve these problems.

The major focus of these weekly programs is to help people stop their addiction by breaking free of their dependencies. "Program choices come from many sources," explains Jerry Meints. "They include our viewers' requests, inspirations, burning social issues, current events and prevalent problems we see in our practices."
