Sherry Lowe-Bernie is a PMA Certified Pilates Teacher who has been teaching in the fitness industry for over twenty-five years. She's been teaching Pilates for over ten years at her fully equipped, private studio in Toronto, Canada.

Sherry did her Pilates training with the PhysicalMind Institute, which is based in New York. She is certified to teach mat-based Pilates, Standing Pilates as well as the equipment-based repertoire on the Cadillac, Reformer and Wunda Chair.

Sherry created Personalizing Pilates with the goal of helping as many people as possible experience the benefits of doing Pilates. Over the years, she noticed that many of her clients were unable to do many of the "classical" Pilates exercises either because of a pre-existing condition or because of their general level of fitness and health. In addition, many of these exercises are contraindicated (risky) for people with certain spinal conditions so there was nothing in the marketplace to help them. She wanted to create and offer a Pilates product that helped these people so the idea for Personalizing Pilates was born.

With her MP3 downloadable workouts, the approach is to teach the more simple exercises and to break down the more difficult Pilates exercises into their component parts so that the "everyday Joe and Josephine" can benefit from doing them.
