In 2005, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach published his book Hating Women: America's Hostile Campaign Against the Fairer Sex. According to Shmuley, women are incredibly complex individuals, as are men. Our society, however, has reduced women in this culture to four archetypes: the Greedy Gold Digger, the Publicity Seeking Prostitute, the Brainless Bimbo, and the Backstabbing Bitch.
Instead of reveling in their full complexity, women are lowered to the lowest common denominator, often seeing celebrities as role-models, despite the apparent lack of morals so many of them display. Women are not the only ones who fall into these traps, though. Shmuley portrays four equally offensive types of men: the Crotch-Scratcher, the Harem Gatherer, the Selfish Spouse, and the Porn Addict.
By falling for false examples of success and status in the media, we are moving further and further away from respectful relationships between men and women to unhealthy relationships. Most of the downloads in this package are speeches from Hating Women's book tour, hitting different topics with each audience, and from radio interviews afterwards. He encourages us to recognize what is wonderfully special about each sex, and to celebrate that in each other.
